Our Ethos

Protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults is the responsibility of us all, whether they live in our community or are part of our Christian family. It is central to the Gospel that we care for all those in need and, at the same time, make our church a safe place of sanctuary for those looking for help and support.  Achieving a balance between those who pose a risk to others and those who have already been harmed can be difficult sometimes and we follow the Diocesan policies to achieve high standards in safeguarding.  The Diocese works in partnership with statutory agencies (where needed) to ensure that congregations are safe and that parishes like Dronfield act within the law and good practice guidelines for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
