Risen, ascended Lord,
as we rejoice at your triumph,
fill your Church on earth with power and compassion,
that all who are estranged by sin
may find forgiveness and know your peace,
to the glory of God the Father.

1 Peter 4:12-24, 5:6-11      John 17:1-11

Pentecost Sunday

Next week is Pentecost Sunday, and for the past few years we have had one service aiming to be “all together in one place”. We can’t physically do that this year, but 2 things we could do:

If you would like to be part of a whole congregation choir, Rob would love everyone to sing a Pentecost hymn together. Please Email him and he can give you some instructions:

And even if you don’t want to sing, could you send Rob a photo of yourself and we will include them in some way in the service.

We will have one service for the whole team, with Paul’ Mellars preaching.

“Kingdom Come” - 10 Days of Prayer from Ascension to Pentecost

For the past few years the global church has emphasised these days for prayer, remembering how the disciples waited, and prayed in these days.

There are many resources to help on line, but locally, I’m doing videoed slowed down Lord’s Prayers, which can be found at

or on our Facebook Page.

Paul Mellars is doing a videoed midday prayer for each day. The next 3 can be found here:

The following days will be on St Andrew’s and our facebook pages, and St Andrew’s website:
