Memorial Service and Candle Lighting

Sadly we can’t have our usual Memorial service when we remember those whose funerals we have taken over the last year (September 2019 – August 2020). Instead we have produced an online service, and invited all families to watch it if they wish:

In addition, we have invited families if they wish, to come a light a candle in church between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday 1 November.

Please watch the service and come and light a candle if you wish.

All our Video Services and Daily Prayer can be found at:

1 John 3:1 - 3 and Matthew 5:1 – 12

Collect for All Saints Day

God of holiness,
your glory is proclaimed in every age:
as we rejoice in the faith of your saints,
inspire us to follow their example with boldness and joy;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Funeral – for your Prayers: Pat Telford.

Ian Webb

Ian will be licensed to be our new Team Vicar on Monday 2nd November by zoom.

Opening the Church for Private Prayer

Wednesdays 9.30am to 4pm and Sundays, 11.30am to 4pm.

Remembrance Sunday 8th November

Please note we will have a communion service in church, but starting at 9.30am! Peter will then be leading a Remembrance Sunday Service at the War Memorial at 10.50. Sadly we can’t have the usual large gathering or parade. We will attempt to live stream the service on the Churches Together facebook Page:

So hopefully you can watch it live or anytime afterwards.

Thank you

Thank you to everyone who has responded to our request for help with our finances. They are looking better, but our income is still significantly down from normal. Thank you.

Live Streaming Services from Church

As we will not be able to have large numbers coming to our Advent and Christmas Services we are planning to “live stream” them. This will involve investment in good quality cameras etc., and hopefully getting a telephone line into church. Rob Aldread is organising this. Thank you for those who have already made substantial donations towards the costs. We are hoping grants will also help. If you would like to know more please ask Peter or Rob
