Peter's Notices - 10th May 2020

Dear All,

See Online Services for a links to our Video Services

Details for Christian Aid.

I've also attached a letter from Gill Harvey concerning our new bank account for standing orders. It is written for those who currently give to the church in this way but I don't have a list of who you are. If anyone else wants to start using a standing order the letter contains the details you need.

Funerals

For your prayers:

Gladys Biggin 14 May, 11am, Chesterfield Crematorium
And Pat Millington’s mother, Winifred Davey, has died. She was 98. Please remember Pat and Derek and their family.

Tony Bethell

I had a phone call this morning from Jill to say that Tony had been taken in to the Northern General hospital, with a slow heart rate. I prayed for him as part of the video service, and then was delighted to hear from Jill this lunch time that he has now had a pace maker fitted that will be tested this afternoon and he should be home this evening. Please keep Tony and Jill in your prayers and give thanks for our wonderful NHS.

Furloughing our Office Staff

For the past few weeks Sue and Joan have been working from home – checking office Emails and phone messages, and communicating with baptism families and wedding couples who were due to have services in our churches in the next few months. As things have now calmed down and there is much less they can do, we have decided to “furlough” them, so that the government will pay 80% of their wages. It means that they are not allowed to work. Peter will check the office Email, and office calls will be re-directed to him.

with our love and prayer,

Peter
