Opening the Church for Private Prayer and for Funerals

We will be opening the church for private prayer on Wednesdays and Sundays, 9.30am to 4pm.

We can also now have funerals in church, but with limited numbers and no singing.

If anybody who is not in a vulnerable category, or living with someone in a vulnerable category, would like to help with the opening up, cleaning etc., please contact Peter.

Funeral for your prayers: Richard Green, 1.30pm Thursday 9th July 2020

Opening the Church for Worship – Sunday 12 July.

On Friday I received the guidelines for opening the church for public worship. I have completed the risk assessment and it has been approved by our Archdeacon. I am delighted to say we will have our first service in Church on Sunday 12th July at 10am. Just one service a week to start with - no singing, coffee etc. Numbers limited to 28 to allow for all the social distancing etc.

We will keep doing the online services, as it is still not recommended for people in the shielding category to come, and we know others will be cautious. Any thoughts etc., please let me know.

Opening the Office Part Time

I am very glad to say, Sue and Joan will be back in the office next week part time, but the door will be kept locked. They will be checking Emails and phone messages etc.

Team Vicar for St Swithin’s and St Philip’s

To update you, our two preferred candidates were interviewed online on Monday 22 June. We hope to make an announcement within the next few weeks.

New Email Address

I have new Email address following problems with the old one: revdbold@gmail.com. I will keep checking the old one for the next few months.

with our love and prayer,    Peter
