give us compassion and courage to risk ourselves for those we serve,
for the glory of God the Father

Revd William Eardley
William Eardley’s Funeral will be on Friday 7th May at 1.30pm at St. Swithin’s.
Attendance will be restricted, but it will be live streamed on this link:

We will also share this on our Facebook page.

The funeral cortege will process up Church Street and High Street, passing St John's and Dronfield Baptist Church, on the way to St Swithin's.

William was a wonderful pastor, colleague and friend to so many here in Dronfield especially at St Swithin’s where he was their team vicar for over 20 years, and instrumental in building their church hall and re-ordering their church. He was a wonderful servant, doing so many jobs unseen, so faithful and reliable, with a solid and passionate faith. We miss him.

Christian Aid Lent Boxes

The total collection from St Johns is £312. Many thanks to all who contributed – if you haven’t, there’s always time! If by cheque then this should be made out to Churches Together in Dronfield & District from where all money raised is forwarded to Christian Aid.

If you would like Derek to collect from your home, please do let the office know - 412328

Live Streaming - Rob Aldread has organised and run the live streaming since November, with wonderful help from Josh. Rob cannot keep doing all this with his choir commitments. Can you help? Rob assures us it is not too difficult. If no help is available we won’t be able to live stream every week

Annual General Meeting

Our AGM will take place after the morning service on Sunday 13 June, later than normal because of the pandemic. Please the office have reports from all groups by Sunday 16 May at the latest.

News: As we can’t meet together as we used to do, do you have any news to share? Please send items to the office by 9am on Thursdays
