Prayer for the Dronfield with Holmesfield team.
Dear Mighty God,
We pray at this time for those who make decisions about a new Rector, to find the right person.
We hope that this person will be understanding, kind, enthusiastic,
and inspiring for the local community, our team of five churches and our school. Amen 
Worship Council Kids at St Andrew’s church school.

Emily (Ian Prices granddaughter) and the family have now been discharged properly and are at home. There are still lots of challenges and treatment ahead, and she’s being closely monitored, but it’s all looking very hopeful.

SATURDAY ARTS FESTIVALCOFFEE MORNING
30^th April 2022 10.00am – 1.00pm

Refreshments including Bacon Sandwiches, Toasted Teacakes, together with the usual Tea, Coffee and Biscuits. Raffle Prizes, books, jewellery etc. This coffee morning coincides with the Arts Festival so there will also be Children’s Activities available. Do come and join in the fun.

POSTPONED! Awayday Saturday 7th May An awayday had been provisionally booked for the morning of Saturday 7th May 2022 to be held at St.Swithin’s, everyone from St Johns was invited to attend.  This has been postponed and a new date will be confirmed soon.

Religious Books Helen Wragg, Marian Giles daughter has a number of religious books that were Marion’s and she would like them to go to good homes, if you are interested or know anyone who might be please call Helen.

Flower arrangers are urgently needed for the feast of Flowers at St John’s.  Weekend 1st to the 3rd July. The theme is ‘Celebration’. Please have a chat with Jean Hobson, Jill Bethel or Gill Gill if you think you may be able to help, or phone the Parish Office on 412328. Your design doesn’t have to be complicated and there are other arrangers available to give help and advice, we also have books with designs in and step by step guidance can be found on the internet.

Come and celebrate the art of flower arranging. Open to all from the utter novice to the most experienced. Friday 6th May, 7.00pm at Dronfield Baptist Church. An evening with Katie from L & M Floral.

Christian Aid Lent Boxes Dear Friends, Could you please return your Lent Boxes as soon as possible, either to me in church or at the Church office so that the money can be sent off to where it’s needed sooner rather than later. Thank you to those of you who have already returned their boxes. Derek (for the Dronfield Churches Christian Aid Committee).

Organ Recital The next ‘Wednesday at Eight Organ Recital’ will be on May 4^th and Peter Lockwood will be playing. Admission is free and refreshments are provided. There will be a retiring collection for church funds.

Parish Hall – Total Clear Out: Saturday 11^th June from 9.30am Later this year the Parish Hall is going to be sold to The Gavin’s Foundation after which it will be managed and run by Life Dronfield who will eventually redevelop the whole site for use as it’s community space venue. In readiness for that we need to clear EVERYTHING out.  So, on Saturday 11^th June, starting at 9.30am, we are going to book a large walk-in skip and we will work together with Life Dronfield to clear everything out. If anyone thinks anything that they own is currently somewhere in the Parish Hall premises, then please arrange with the Parish Office to come and collect it asap, because on 11^th June basically everything will be disposed of. We also need help on the day to remove everything and put it into the skip. Please can you let Alison know if you are able to come and help so we can build up a list of how many people can support this activity.
