We invite you to “virtual” after (or before??) service refreshments. Please bring you own coffee or …?

Church open for private prayer
The church will be open for private prayer Wednesdays 9.30am - 4pm, Sundays 11.30-4pm

Live Streaming - Rob Aldread has organised and run the live streaming since November, with wonderful help from Josh. Rob cannot keep doing all this with his choir commitments. Can you help? Rob assures us it is not too difficult. If no help is available we won’t be able to live stream every week

Daily Prayer online
These daily prayer and Bible readings have been loved, and we are considering what to do long term as restrictions ease. We are taking a break for 2 weeks from Monday 21st June. As an alternative we recommend a number of online aids to prayer and Bible reading:

Thoughts / feedback would be welcome.

0RGAN RECITAL!!
Following news of organ recitals in other churches, it has been decided to have our first since lockdown at 7.30pm on Wednesday July 7th, with Mary Cobbold, refreshments, all proceeds to St John’s. Please do support this initiative if you can, and if you would like recitals in St John’s to continue

New Administrator
After many years of dedicated service, Sue Harvey is retiring from her role in the parish office. We are deeply grateful for all she has done. We need someone to replace her, working with Joan:

Part Time Administrator for Dronfield with Holmesfield Team of Churches.
13.5 hrs Per Week. (Temporary Contract, Role & Hours to be fully reviewed after 6 months). £9.13 per hour

  • Carry out and facilitate day-to-day administrative operations of the churches in close co-operation with the Clergy and the Officers of the churches, working in partnership with our other administrator.

  • To be a key face and voice of the church to the wider community within the Dronfield with Holmesfield Team, from answering the phone and office door, to booking Baptisms, Weddings and other occasional services, and managing lettings of the Church Hall

  • Have the ability to work in a changing environment, where multi-tasking, sound decision making, self-motivation and discretion are essential. Equally the post-holder will need confidence and proven IT, organisational, financial, communication and interpersonal skills.
