Prayer for the Dronfield with Holmesfield team.
Dear Mighty God,
We pray at this time for those who make decisions about a new Rector, to find the right person.
We hope that this person will be understanding, kind, enthusiastic,
and inspiring for the local community, our team of five churches and our school. Amen

	Feast of Flowers at St John’s.  Plans are underway to make the Feast of Flowers 2022 a truly memorable event. Flower arrangers met on Tuesday evening to order their flowers ready to assemble arrangements on 30th June. If you would like to be part of this event please contact Jean Hobson. Over the event weekend there are two concerts, ‘Young Voices and Ladies Voices’
	and ‘Faith at the Musicals’ don’t forget to get your tickets for these concerts as they are likely to be sell out’s. Bell Tower Tours will be available on Saturday afternoon and there will be many Flower arrangements to view.
Help with refreshments over the four days would also be greatly appreciated, please see volunteer chart at back of church.

Notice Sheet. From the first Sunday in September Alison Bowen will no longer be producing the St. John’s notices, so we need a volunteer from church to take it on. As part of the review of administration across the parish and the creation of the Parish Co-ordinator role, it was decided that certain tasks undertaken by the Parish Office for St. John’s should be gradually handed over to church volunteers. The nature of said tasks (as with the notice sheet) is that the other churches in the parish have volunteers who undertake them. A second internet and email-ready PC will be available in the Parish Office if volunteers do not have facilities at home. Rev. Ian Webb.

Dear friends, We would like to thank everyone who sent cards. good wishes etc. on the occasion of our 65th. Wedding Anniversay at the beginning of June. It has been a memorable time for us and we have been overwhelmed with kindness. It was good to have so many friends at the Wednesday morning communion and a big "thank you" to Paul Mellars who said prayers and gave us a special blessing not to mention the unexpected music he brought along. It will stay with us for a long time!

Parish Hall – Total Clear Out: Saturday 11^th June from 9.30am Later this year the Parish Hall is going to be sold to The Gavin’s Foundation after which it will be managed and run by Life Dronfield who will eventually redevelop the whole site for use as it’s community space venue. In readiness for that we need to clear EVERYTHING out.  So, on Saturday 11^th June, starting at 9.30am, we are going to book a large walk-in skip and we will work together with Life Dronfield to clear everything out. If anyone thinks anything that they own is currently somewhere in the Parish Hall premises, then please arrange with the Parish Office to come and collect it asap, because on 11^th June basically everything will be disposed of. We also need help on the day to remove everything and put it into the skip. Please can you let Alison know if you are able to come and help so we can build up a list of how many people can support this activity. Thanks Rob

Monthly Online Raffle A very big THANK YOU to everyone that has joined in with the two draws so far. We raised £219 for church funds with the May draw. PLEASE can EVERYONE continue to join in and encourage others to do so. Safeguarding Training – ‘In person’ training day  - Monday 4^th July 2022

We are aware that there are some people across the diocese who are unable to use computers, and therefore have difficulty in accessing the Basic and Foundation training (which is e-learning), and Leadership Training which is on Zoom. We are providing an opportunity for a limited number of people to attend this training in person.  Basic Awareness 9.15-10.45am Safeguarding Foundations 11.00am-12.30pm Safeguarding Leadership 1.00-4.00pm. Places are limited, booking is essential – For Leadership by Friday 17^th June and for Basic Awareness and Foundation by Thursday 30^th June at the latest. Please contact Judie Fogarty to reserve places for people, stating which course/s are required, providing the person’s name, their church and parish, and role.  Please note I will not respond to confirm bookings until after 6^th June. Praise Night at St Andrews Church, Sunday 12th June at 6.30pm. The second Sunday of each month.
Join in for an hour of worshipping God with songs, hymns and prayer. Everyone welcome.

Chattabox is meeting Tuesday Evenings 6.00 till 7.00pm in Church from Tuesday 14th June. This group runs term time only and anyone aged between 3 to 16 is welcome to come and join in the fun. Call Alison for more information.
