Kath Manning’s funeral will take place at St Johns at 10.00am on Wednesday 16th February. Please remember Kath and her family in your prayers. The funeral of Eileen Mary Parker will take place at St Johns on Monday 28th February. Coffee after the Sunday services - 11.45am by Zoom Church open for private prayer The church will be open for private prayer every day 9.30am - 4.00pm. Concerning Covid precautions Following our understanding of government regulations, advice and common sense please remember to wear a face mask unless you are exempt, sanitise your hands and if possible, please take lateral flow tests before coming to church. Being treble jabbed does reduce the risks considerably, but not completely, we are leaving it to individuals to make their own choices, and we are delighted that we can provide the online option for most of the services. The Parish Office opening hours The office is open to visitors Wednesday to Friday 9.30 –12.00pm. Church Flowers We are very grateful for all the kind donations towards the flowers in church. Thank you. No 10.00am Communion on Wednesday 16th February. There will NOT be a 10.00am Wednesday morning communion service on 16th February as it is Kath Manning’s funeral at 10.00am on that date. Deanery Support for School Governors The Deanery is compiling a list of School Governors, to offer support and/or training. Please let Kathy Crawshaw-Moore, Deanery Administrator know if you are a School Governor. kathy.crawshaw-moore@derby.anglican.org Safeguarding Training – ‘In person’ training day Basic Awareness 9.15 - 10.30am Places are limited, booking is essential by Thursday 17th March at the latest. Please contact judie.fogarty@derby.anglican.org to reserve places for people, stating which course/s are required, providing the person’s name, their church and parish, and role. More information on Safeguarding training can be found on our website or by email nick.harding@derby.anglican.org Boxes of giving envelopes. Katherine Shaw is organising the giving envelope boxes, if anyone no longer wants them please either let her know directly or via the office, if you have had them previously and she doesn’t hear from you there will be a pack with your name on. Last 11.15am Family Service. It was lovely to see lots of people at the Service, which was full of worship, fun, music and a little congregation participation. Thank you to Rob for playing the music for us and to the Children’s Work Team for planning and leading the service. We are looking forward to the all new ‘Worship together’ Services which are planned for the third Sunday in the month at 10.00am. Organ Recital. The next ‘Wednesday at Eight Organ Recital’ will be on April 6th and Nigel Gotteri will be playing. |
