Collect
God for whom we watch and wait,
you sent John the Baptist to prepare the way of your Son;
give us courage to speak the truth,
to hunger for justice,
and to suffer for the cause of right,
with Jesus Christ our Lord.
AMEN

The Parish Office opening hours
The office is normally open to visitors Monday to Friday 9.30 – 12.00. Closed Wed 15th December.

Chattabox Nativity Service is going to be held at

St Marys Church Unstone on Saturday 18th December at 4.00pm.

Everyone is welcome; there will be a traditional Nativity play with some audience participation, carols, prayers and refreshments.

This will be a family service particularly aimed at families with young children but suitable for everyone young at heart. We really hope St John’s congregations will come along and enjoy the fun. It’s a great opportunity to meet the young families who attend our Church.

Children are invited to come dressed as a nativity character, and are encouraged to be as much involved in the play as they feel comfortable.

We do have spare costumes available on the day.

The Oaks Community Church is having a Blue Christmas Service on Friday 17th December at 2.00pm at the Oaks Community Church.

This will be a short Blue Christmas Service; with a quiet, reflective space to explore what the Christmas story has to offer. It is somewhere to go if despite all the hype, you don’t really feel like celebrating.

Wednesdays at Eight  Organ Recital the next  Organ Recital is by Eric Singleton and is on  Wednesday 5th January 2022 at 8.00pm. Refreshments are provided.
