Risen Christ,
for whom no door is locked, no entrance barred;
open the doors of our hearts,

Prayer for the Dronfield with Holmesfield team.
Dear Mighty God,
We pray at this time for those who make decisions about a new Rector, to find the right person.
We hope that this person will be understanding, kind, enthusiastic,
and inspiring for the local community, our team of five churches and our school. Amen

PCC AGM is on Tuesday 26th  7.30pm to be held at St Andrews church, Pentland Road. Please support, all welcome to attend.

The ‘Feast of Flowers’ weekend is the 1st to the 3rd July. The theme is ‘Celebration’. There are many ways you can be involved in this event from flower arranging to helping with refreshments, or welcoming people to our church, your help would be really appreciated. Refreshments including Toasted Teacakes, together with the usual Tea, Coffee and Biscuits. Raffle Prizes, books, jewellery etc. This coffee morning coincides with the Arts Festival so there will also be Children’s Activities available.

Do come and join in the fun.

Possible Awayday Saturday 7th May all invited  An awayday has been provisionally booked for the morning of Saturday 7th May 2022 to be held at St.Swithin’s, everyone from St Johns is invited to attend.  Details to follow.

Christian Aid Lent Boxes Dear Friends, Could you please return your Lent Boxes as soon as possible, either to me in church or at the Church office so that the money can be sent off to where it’s needed sooner rather than later. Thank you to those of you who have already returned their boxes. Derek (for the Dronfield Churches Christian Aid Committee).

Organ Recital The next ‘Wednesday at Eight Organ Recital’ will be on May 4th and Peter Lockwood will be playing. Admission is free and refreshments are provided. There will be a retiring collection for church funds.

New Daylight Bible Study Notes The new booklets are out for May-August, but will no longer be available in church.  Details of how to obtain your copy are at the back of the current issue,  on the website or from the Christian Bookshop.
