Almighty God,
whose Son Jesus Christ fasted 40 days in the wilderness,
and was tempted as we are, yet without sin:
give us grace to discipline ourselves in obedience to your Spirit;
and, as you know our weakness,
so may we know your power to save;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.

From my own garden this week, I love our witch hazels, giving us glorious colour before any of the other shrubs, for almost no work.

“Big Read” – Singing in Babylon

For Lent this year we joining in with "The Big Church Read" looking at "Singing in Babylon" - a book that looks at stories of Daniel and how we can respond and thrive when we don't get what we want - Daniel was in exile, we are in lockdown... We will have "zoom" groups so we can share what we think, or you can just read it by yourself. Copies can be obtained at £10 from Eden.com.
