Sunday July 18th 2021 Seventh Sunday after Trinity

Service live and online

Holy Communion - service led by Revd Peter Bold.
The social distancing rules still apply. We will continue with streaming the morning service online. You can watch the videos for all the churches when they “premiere”, or later for your convenience by clicking on this link: https://www.youtube.com/c/DwHParish
Prayers on-line are available each day.

Readings and Collect
Ephesians 2:11-22, Mark 6: 30-34,53-56

Generous God, you give us gifts and make them grow:
though our faith is as small as a mustard seed,
make it grow to your glory and the flourishing of your kingdom;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Please remember in your prayers: Marion Giles, Muriel Lascelles, Bernard Broadhead, Pat Walker, Joan Jones, Thelma Dean, Reg Creaser, Edith Hobson, Revd Paul and Dawn Maellars, the families and friends of Brenda Edwards, Robert Wooffindin and Matthew Jordinson

Coffee after the Sunday services – 11.45am by Zoom:
We invite you to “virtual” after (or before??) service refreshments. Please bring you own coffee or …?

Church open for private prayer
The church will be open for private prayer Wednesdays 9.30am - 4pm, Sundays 11.30-4pm

Live Streaming - Rob Aldread has organised and run the live streaming since November, with wonderful help from Josh. Rob cannot keep doing all this with his choir commitments. Can you help? Rob assures us it is not too difficult. If no help is available we won’t be able to live stream every week

Daily Prayer online has resumed, probably for four days a week with a Thought for the Day from Chris or Tony on the other days. Feedback would be appreciated

The Parish Office is essential to the smooth running our churches. Following the announcement that from July 19th social distancing and mask wearing will no longer be mandatory, it has been decided that to protect our staff and keep the office fully functioning, face coverings will still be required if you need to call in.                                                                                                      Thank you for your kind co-operation.

Cof E response to PM press conference on 12 July 2021
A spokesperson for the Church of England said: “We note the Health Secretary’s statement in the House of Commons this afternoon and the Prime Minister’s press conference this evening confirming plans to move towards the next stage of the Government’s roadmap on July 19 while urging caution in response to rising cases of Covid-19 propelled by the Delta variant.
“The prospect of the lifting of legal restrictions will be both a relief and a cause of anxiety and we are aware that there is likely still to be significant guidance in place.
“We have already been considering our current guidance to churches and are awaiting updated Government guidance for places of worship.
“We will also be seeking further clarification through the Government’s Places of Worship Taskforce, which meets later this week, on a range of areas affecting public worship and places of worship.”
