1 Thessalonians 5:16-24
John 1: vv 6-8, 19-28

God, for whom we watch and wait,
you sent John the Baptist  to prepare the way of your Son:
give us courage to speak the truth,
to hunger for justice,
and to suffer for the cause of right,
with Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

So, a reminder there are just three simple things we’d like to encourage you to do:

Tuesday 22, 10.30am in Church: Muriel Seeds

Christian Aid – Christmas Appeal.

In these difficult times we have been unable to hold our annual Giant Book Sale in Dronfield Civic Hall and will be unable to sing carols outside Sainsbury’s supermarket on the Saturday before Christmas as we have in past years. These activities have raised desperately needed funds to support the world’s poorest people. The need for help has not gone away so I am asking you to consider giving to Christian Aid by visiting my “Just Giving” page and donating to Christian Aid, who will support local organisations around the world who are fighting poverty and Covid19 in extraordinarily difficult ways:

! Thank you so much. Barry Jex, Chair of CTDD Christian Aid committee.
